Expect something familiar

Expect something different

When you walk through the doors of Mount Olivet, it might feel like stepping back in time—but don’t be surprised when the Spirit meets you right where you are.

We’re a small, multi-cultural family of believers with an old country church feel—steeple, pews, warm handshakes, and people who genuinely want to know your name. We don’t worship tradition—we worship Jesus. But we’re grateful for the rich history that brought us here.

We’re a Bible-believing church that holds tight to the essentials of the gospel and offers grace for the rest. You don’t have to agree on every detail to be loved here. You don’t even have to believe to belong. We welcome the seeker, the skeptic, the broken, the curious, and the committed—because Jesus does.

Come as you are. Ask questions. Be real. You won’t find performance here, but you’ll find Presence. You’ll find family. And probably a plate of something amazing after service.

“for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” -Galatians 3:28

We can’t wait to meet you. There’s a seat waiting with your name on it.

Worship

In Spirit & In Truth

At Mount Olivet, worship isn’t just music—it’s a response. It’s the sound of hearts awakened by truth, voices lifted in gratitude, and a family coming together to honor the One who gave it all.

You’ll hear a beautiful mix here: old hymns that have stood the test of time, Black gospel that stirs the soul, and spirit-filled praise that flows from a living relationship with Jesus. We’re not here to perform or entertain—we’re here to encounter Him.

It’s not about a style, it’s about presence. And when we worship, we’re not trying to get God to show up—we believe He’s already here, and we’re just giving Him what He’s worthy of. Whether it’s quiet reverence or joyful shouting, it’s all about Jesus.

“God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” — John 4:24

So come as you are, and worship with us. Because He’s worthy—and because you were made for this.

Kids

World Changers

At Mount Olivet, we’re not babysitting kids—we’re raising up world-changers. We believe children can know God personally, walk in His truth, and live out the love of Jesus in everyday life. From the youngest toddler to the oldest child in our ministry, we speak identity, purpose, and truth into their hearts.

Our kids don’t just learn Bible stories—they learn who they are in Christ. They’re taught that they’re not a mistake, that they’re not too young, and that God’s Spirit lives in them. We create a space where they can experience God’s presence, ask big questions, and discover the joy of walking with Him.

And when it’s time for Vacation Bible School, it’s more than just crafts and songs—it’s an encounter. A week full of fun, yes—but also filled with worship, truth, and moments where Jesus becomes real to their hearts.

“Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” — Luke 18:16

We’re not just teaching kids about God—we’re introducing them to Him. Because they were made for Him, and He’s made His home in them.

Bible Study

Be Transformed

We don’t gather around the Bible just to learn information—we gather to know Him. At Mount Olivet, our Bible study groups are more than classes; they’re places where hearts are transformed, minds are renewed, and lives are built on the truth of God’s Word.

Whether it’s our Sunday morning classes, mid-week studies, or small group gatherings, you’ll find believers digging deep—not just to understand Scripture, but to walk it out. We ask real questions, wrestle with truth, and encourage one another to live from our identity in Christ.

We don’t all agree on every non-essential, and that’s okay—because love is greater than being right. What we do agree on is that Jesus is Lord, His Word is life, and we need each other to grow.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom…” — Colossians 3:16

So come pull up a chair. Bring your Bible, bring your questions, bring your hunger. There’s room for you at the table.

Come Hungry!

For Food & For Truth

At Mount Olivet, we believe Jesus shows up at the table just as much as He does in the pew. Whether it’s a potluck dinner, a Sunday lunch, or a cookout under the Georgia sky, our meals are more than food—they’re fellowship, they’re family, they’re kingdom.

We love good cooking—because love makes its way into casseroles and cornbread, into smoked meat and sweet tea. But we also know it’s not just about what’s on the plate. It’s about who’s around the table, and the presence of God that fills the space when His people break bread together.

We feed the belly, yes—but we also speak life, pray for each other, and laugh deep from the heart. Every gathering is a chance to share stories, lift one another up, and remember that we’re not walking this journey alone.

“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God…” — Acts 2:46–47

So come hungry—for food, for truth, for connection. You’ll leave full in more ways than one.

What We Believe

Firm in truth, gracIOUS IN DIFFERENCE

We believe that the Father created all things in heaven and on earth. He created human beings out of a love for us and desires a personal relationship with each of us.

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Furthermore, He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven.

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict men, making them aware of their sin and the salvation available through Jesus. He regenerates, guides, instructs, and empowers the believer for godly living and service.

We believe that man was created in the image of God and sinless, but fell into sin and is therefore lost and subject to judgment. There is nothing man can do to save himself from this judgment, but he can accept the death of Jesus as punishment in place of his own eternal death by acknowledging God and accepting the free gift of salvation.

We believe that the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ provides the only way of justification and salvation for all who believe. Any who attach additional works of man as a requirement for salvation are false in that they infer Jesus’ death is insufficient in and of itself to save and that human beings somehow have the capability to save themselves.

We believe the Bible, consisting of 66 books, to be the inspired Word of God, without error, the revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
